Sheila is an author of seven books, a professional speaker, a syndicated columnist, and a homeschooling mom.
This is her professional speaking training website. Normally, though, she blogs over at To Love, Honor and Vacuum. Pop in to see the personal side of her there!
Sheila began speaking in 2003, when a friend at church asked her to share her testimony at the local Christian women’s club. From there, word of mouth grew, and Sheila started doing more and more engagements. Mostly she focused on Stonecroft Ministry’s Christian Women’s Club for the first few years, but soon requests for retreats and parenting groups came in.
In 2004 she and her husband joined the associate staff with FamilyLife Canada, where they began speaking for the Weekend to Remember marriage conferences. Sheila and Keith also speak at one night marriage events as well.
In 2008 Sheila teamed up with World Vision Canada to bring Girls Night Out events to women across the nation. Sharing her sense of humor and her touching testimony, she loved leading people to Christ and causing others to think more deeply about what it means to trust God.
Since then, Sheila has spoken all over North America to denominational events, church events, and conferences. She speaks on average 30 times a year.
Right now she’s focusing on bringing her Girl Talk signature event to churches, where she gives straight talk about marriage and intimacy. Combining humor with a sensitive topic guarantees a load of fun!
Sheila lives in Belleville, Ontario, with her husband Keith, a pediatrician, and her two teenage daughters.
